Coming SoonOver the last few years, I have become the type of person who, when learning something new or changing direction, prefers to get busy doing, rather than talking. But so much has changed this year that the quiet has become the bottleneck. My work is there, people just can't see it.
Visibility is now my bottleneck, so this post is me going after it.
I started in the MS in Marketing program at the University of Arizona, focusing on Analytics and Gen AI. From market research methods to RAG pipelines. This time completely changed how I looked at the business and marketing process; I learned more about where marketing and technology has been, and began to understand the direction it is heading. Less about the concrete definition or which tool to use, but more about where technology and AI actually belongs in a process (and where it does not). And I ended with a 4.0!
In April, I began working with SignifyMD as a digital marketing and comms intern facilitating the exchange of information within the healthcare space, specifically focused on oncologist and clinical insights. This gave me a space to apply the concepts I was learning and get a real understanding of how the new era of technology is propagating throughout industries.
This is also when I began prototyping my own local open-weight/source AI OS running on an NVIDIA and AMD powered system. I began experimenting with the different models and applying the methods I was learning from the MIS department to create my own application that helped me visualize my workflows and test new tech. It's become my personal repository of information relating to all aspects of my life from AI workflows, new education concepts, my workouts, finances, and much more.
This project integrated many different technologies including NVIDIA's Nemotron models connected to an Obsidian mind vault which is ingested periodically to a local Supabase pgvector DB running in a Docker container. On the frontend, a custom React 19, Vite, and Tailwind dashboard routed my queries and actions through a Hermes agent which connects to the backend and can delegate work to sub agents which communicate in a Discord server for observability and constantly update me on different projects and cron jobs.
While I have grown up building PCs, this is the first time my PC genuinely turned into a server. Now I SSH into my setup from anywhere I want to and have constant connection to my repository running for no other cost than the power going to my PC. While I am sure there are more robust solutions, as they say, there's no better solution than the one you make and works for you.
Then came the end of the summer which concluded with the V2 relaunch of OncUpdates.com, the capstone of my internship, and with the end of our beta testing, my internship came to a close. Though this also marked the beginning of a new role with SignifyMD as a Digital Marketing Consultant where the projects were just getting started. Since then, I have worked across virtually every discipline of DM, from advertising, to SEO, to competitor research and more (one of the major benefits of working at a growth stage company).
See a clickable demo of the AI system on the Projects pageThis semester marks the end of my academic career. While I may return down the line for an MBA and/or a PhD, it definitely will be after some time in the workforce if at all. So I am trying to really make the most of the opportunity to simply soak up information and learn. So this semester, I am diving even deeper into how businesses can put AI into practice and see tangible results. For me, this means diving deeper into GenAI, ML, Neural networks etc. to understand and think at the level of abstraction where efforts will survive the latest Anthropic updates.
I have also been taking the opportunity to give back. I began volunteering as a mock interviewer for graduate students preparing for the real thing. It is easily one of my favorite experiences of the semester and something I will absolutely continue to do. But I am also subjecting myself to the same process and having as many informational or real interviews as possible. Not to get just any opportunity for a job (exciting news to come actually), but to continue to develop my own interpersonal skills and my network so I can help others and also have folks to rely on for given projects in the future.

I'm a marketer who builds the AI tools I use. Not to automate my thinking, but to augment it. And to truly understand how technology works, and why it should or shouldn't be implemented in production.
If you're working where business and AI meet, I'd like to hear what you're seeing. My email is linked in the footer of this page. I would love to talk about business, AI, or just any general experiences you might want to discuss (I love meeting new people!).
