About Me

Who I Am

Nathanael Kenzler

I'm a first-generation graduate student in Marketing, and I approach this field as a bridge builder. My work sits at the intersection of strategic thinking, technical depth, and clear communication. These three things together drive better decisions in high-performing teams.

My background spans operations, client-facing roles, and hands-on marketing support. What I've learned across each: how to take complex information, identify what actually matters, and translate that into clear narratives people can act on. I've built client relationships, managed multiple workstreams under pressure, and contributed to brand and go-to-market decisions. But the skill underneath all of it is critical thinking. The ability to evaluate information without bias and form conclusions that move a team forward.

Right now, I'm building technical foundation through hands-on coding. I'm taking Harvard's CS50 course this summer and working on building my own app from scratch. I've learned that diving in head-first is how I learn best. The more I work with AI backends and infrastructure, the more I see how to identify problems and envision solutions from an architectural perspective. It's like how a photographer who shoots long enough starts to see the world through their camera lens before it's even in their hands. I'm learning to see business problems through an AI and technical infrastructure lens.

What draws me to marketing is the fusion of human insight and technical skill it demands. I love taking ideas that are difficult to grasp and turning them into insights that teams can actually use. I do this not just with creative thinking, but with the technical literacy and composure that high-level marketing requires. That combination of clarity, impact, and technical foundation is what excites me about building a career here.

How I Got Here

SignifyMD - Marketing & Digital Communications Intern (Mar 2026-Present)

This is where I'm applying everything I've learned. I'm building lead generation strategies, working with KOL networks, and learning how marketing really scales in a fast-paced healthcare tech environment. The hands-on exposure to analytics, brand positioning, and high-performing teams is reinforcing what I know works and showing me what comes next.

Personal Trainer & Member Experience Specialist - VASA Fitness (Sep 2023-Feb 2025)

After COVID, I needed to rebuild interpersonal skills and learn how to connect with people across different backgrounds and circumstances. This role gave me that foundation. I earned trust from clients who were skeptical or struggling, learned to show up as someone reliable, and used data-driven engagement to keep members committed when motivation wavered. I learned how to adapt, stay curious, and respond thoughtfully when things didn't go as planned.

Resident Handler & Operations Assistant - Bay Area K9 Association (Feb 2021-Jul 2023)

This was my proving ground for versatility. I built a client base of 15+ recurring clients, managed everything from scheduling to photography to facility operations, and figured out what I was genuinely good at along the way. Being adaptable and prepared beats trying to know everything upfront. This is what pushed me toward a business degree.

Fulfillment Team Member - Nordstrom Inc. (Jun 2019-Feb 2021)

My first real job taught me what professional collaboration looks like. I learned how to optimize workflows, deliver consistent results under pressure, and add value beyond what I was directly asked to do. That foundation in work ethic and continuous learning shaped everything that came after.

FAQs

I have always been drawn to tech as a tool for creativity and optimization. Growing up with an engineer father, I was always encouraged to explore how things work. Whether it was tinkering with PCs, competing in VEX robotics, or hardwiring cameras, tech became my playground. Now, I’m excited to channel that same curiosity into a professional tech marketing path, where I can combine strategy, creativity, and a lifelong affinity for making things work better.

Analytics give me a strong foundation, turning data into clear, strategic decisions. In my time I spent as a candidate for my business administration degree, I learned to leverage wide variety of tools and techniques in order to derive and present conclusions professionally and effectively. Moreover, a reason I’m especially excited about my Master’s program is taking courses such as Marketing Research, where I get hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative methods to gather and interpret data. On the AI side, I love experimenting. For example, I explore which tools fit best into my workflow; Perplexity for research, Gemini for visual representations, and even building this site by integrating Cline as a wrapper in my IDE while coding with OpenAI’s Codex 5.2. Each step refines how I achieve results and as I alluded to in the question above, I enjoy finding and swapping pieces to bolster my ability to execute an idea to the highest degree!

I pride myself on knowing when to step up and when to step back. I work best with teams that trust each other’s strengths. Sometimes I lead, whether as a project lead or owning a specific task, and other times I focus on supporting the team behind the scenes. The key is recognizing what the team needs, adapting, and maximizing everyone’s strengths so we create the best outcomes together.
